Ener-G Vermicelli Sewain
|1 1⁄4||cup||brown sugar (unpacked)|
|4||oz||Ener-G White Rice Vermicelli|
Heat oil in saucepan. Add cloves and the seed from the cardamoms. Discard husks of cardamoms. Fry gently for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add Ener-G White Rice Vermicelli, being careful not to break it up. As the vermicelli absorbs the oil it will soften and slide into the saucepan. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add milk. Bring to boil, simmering gently. Add sugar, stirring gently to help it dissolve. It is important to stir gently so as not to breakup the Vermicelli. Continue cooking for 15 to 20 minutes until Vermicelli becomes soft. Stir in nuts and Sultanas. Cook another 5 minutes. Shake in some Rose Water. As the sauce thickens remove from heat. Allow cooling. Pour into a large bowl and chill before serving. This dish can also be eaten hot.
