Ener-G Rice Bran Creamy Onion Soup
|6||ea||yellow onions (large and chopped)|
|4||tbsp||Ener-G Rice Bran|
|2 1⁄2||cup||chicken brothh|
|1||pt||water or chicken broth|
|pinch||salt and pepper (for taste)|
|1⁄2||cup||whipping cream or cream fraiche|
Put margarine in frying pan and saute onions and garlic until onions are transparent and soft. Do not brown. Stir in Ener-G Rice Bran. Cook 1 minute. Add broth and water. Stir until mixture boils. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 min8utes with lid set ajar. Beat egg yolks, cream and lemon juice together. Remove soup from heat and mix in yolk mixture when soup is warm, but not hot. Serve warm.
This recipe will not work with Ener-G Egg Replacer.
